A Grand Win For Stewart!

Stewart Macdonald from near Gt Missenden was the September winner in the Quarters Ball Club Draw earning himself our second biggest prize so far of exactly £1000, after ball number 1027 was the first drawn out of the bag.
Having received the good news of his win at his 37th attempt, Stewart said “It was a wonderful surprise to find out that I was a winner! You never expect to win but are happy to contribute month on month to a very worthwhile cause.”

In a very noble gesture, Stewart has agreed to split his winnings with his daughter who also is a season ticket holder and comes with him to the games. “We have had seats in the Frank Adams stand near the centre line for the past few years now and have made many friends. The football is a bit like life a roller coaster of ups and downs but full of excitement and pride in the team and manager along the way.
We have had many happy memories at Adams Park celebrating birthdays and family occasions thrown in.”

Stewart tells us of his great respect and admiration for a recent Wycombe legend – Adebayo Akinfenwa. “I was running the London marathon for the first time (my first marathon) for Alzheimer’s UK. I was obviously a little nervous to be honest. However unbeknown to myself, my daughter had contacted Bayo and he sent me a short inspirational video, wishing me all the best and to hang on in there for a great cause. I didn’t forget his kind words as I crossed the finish line. I was lucky enough to thank him in person a few months later when he was doing some promotional work in the ground during a game. He was so humble and appreciative of my thanks.
At times like that, football is so much more than just a game!
Oh and I was there when Beanie scored. What a night!”

This latest draw was made for us at the High Wycombe offices of club sponsor Thames Air & Water Tech https://www.thamesairandwatertech.com/ by director Nick Mills accompanied by employee Callum Wright, himself a regular Chairboys supporter.
