The June Quarters Ball Club Draw winner was long time and regular supporter Val Astrop from Stokenchurch.
Val receives our second biggest prize to date of £1043.20 after one of her four numbered balls 739 was the first drawn out of the bag last evening. The draw was made by WWISC co-chair Pat Long (pictured below) and witnessed by the rest of her committee.
Val and her husband Chris, pictured above, attended every WWFC match last season, being season ticket holders in the home terrace and regular travellers on the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association coach. Val and Chris also help out with catering at some of the OWWSA events as well as organising the fundraising raffles.
“I am thrilled to bits with this win” said Val when we gave her the good news. She and Chris went to watch the Wanderers as youngsters a few times but it was only in the mid 80s when they really started following the team. Their daughter Suzanne (now McCloud) really loved it at the age of 7 and the rest, as they say, is history!
Chris and Val are both looking forward to another great season and hopefully can treat themselves out of this prize money, even though Val has just had to pay for new glasses!
