Luke grabs a grand and we gain a new member

The winner of our latest Quarters Ball Club draw is 30-year-old Luke Jolliffe who receives our biggest cash prize yet – £1072.80 after one of his numbers (52) was drawn out of the bag today.

Luke, whose home is in Coventry (he previously lived in Thame) and who has been in the QBC draw since the very start in 2021, was thankful when we gave him the good news. He added “I was definitely not expecting that”

Luke went on to tell us that his dad used to take him to football when he was younger when the idea of standing for a whole game in the freezing cold was the last thing he wanted to do. Fast forward around 20 years and Luke is now the first to book tickets to see the Chairboys in action, on his own or with his parents, grandad and his kids. It was easier to get to Adams Park when he was younger but he does now try to attend 5-10 games a season either home or away.

Luke will use his winnings towards buying a replacement car in the near future.

The draw was made by Wycombe legend Keith Ryan (pictured below with QBC Administrator Alan Cecil – who shares the same birthday, some years apart) just after ‘Rhino’ had competed in the Wycombe Wanderers Golf Day at Wycombe Heights Golf Club.

The QBC draw is open to all Chairboys and Chairgirls supporters without any requirement to be a WWST member. However we were delighted when Luke immediately signed up to join the Supporters Trust after receiving the news of his win.

If you don’t already subscribe, then you can join the QBC draw via this link There is no reason why anyone can’t win on their first entry, or like Luke you might need to be patient and keep trying. He is now our third Luke to be a winner!
