Great Work by the Weekday Volunteers

The purpose of this report is to provide an update on the Weekday Volunteer team’s work undertaken, volunteer time, and estimated value to the club between March to August 2026.

HEADLINES
•
The Weekday Volunteer team has 13 members who volunteer between half a day to two days each week. They are John Bartlett, Andy Bellingham, Mick Docker, Geoff & Helen Goddard, Tom & Paul Hester, Richard Hoyle, Justin Hyams, Mick Jefferies, Steve Johnson, Trefor Williams & Jim Winnard.
•
The team is self-managing and once work is agreed with club staff we take full responsibility for the planning, resourcing, materials procurement, execution and completion of the jobs.
•
Over the last 6 months the Weekday Volunteers have held 52 volunteering sessions giving 1,831 hours to the club. This equates to 305 (6 hour) volunteer days.
•
Between March and August, they completed 52 agreed jobs in and around Adams Park ranging from those that required several weeks effort such as the rust proofing and repainting of metalwork in and behind the Whiffaway stand to much smaller jobs requiring only an hour or two effort.
•
In addition to these jobs, we also provide on-going window cleaning and gardening (cutting back vegetation and weeding) services in and around the stadium.
