The September QBC Draw winner was Steve Dell from Widmer End after one of his numbers (406) was on the first ball drawn out of the bag in the Chairboys Village last Saturday.
Steve was our very first QBC winner back in April 2021. https://wwst.org.uk/2021/04/steve-earns-500-as-our-first-winner Then his prize was £500 but the draw has grown and grown since then and this month we were able to give him £946.60. Like many other fans, he has stuck with us all that time and is delighted but feels very lucky to win again, recognising that there can only be one winner each month and there’s plenty of competition.
He will be putting this prize money towards an upcoming family holiday, so it’s come at a very good time.
Steve can only dream to have ever represented our football club on the pitch. His namesake signed for the Chairboys on a free transfer in July 2003 and made just 4 appearances in the 2003/04 season before moving on. Steve tells me this link caused his mates much amusement, with chants of “there’s only two Steve Dells”!!
The QBC jackpot continues to increase and now stands at over £12400 to be paid should the blue quartered ball be the first drawn out.
