A Message from Jon Workman, Chair of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters’ Trust
As the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters’ Trust, we are proud to retain a 10% ownership stake in Wycombe Wanderers Football Club. We have a stated vision “To Support a Positive Future for Wycombe Wanderers – our Club”, and three strategies that will help us deliver this vision.
Your membership makes a huge difference in how we can deliver on these strategies and that is why we are encouraging everyone to renew their membership and invite friends and family to join us.
Having such an active Supporters’ Trust is a huge advantage to Wycombe Wanderers, and we continue to have an important role within the club, providing two of the five Board Directors and maintaining a strong, collaborative relationship with the entire team at Adams Park. This allows us to deliver against one of our strategies – “To be a Trusted Friend to the Majority Shareholders” and Trust Board commits to engage with the Club to represent you, our members, at all times. Your voice is crucial in ensuring that fans remain an integral part of how the Club is run. We also maintain an excellent relationship with The WW Foundation and we are jointly working with them on advancing women’s football at the club.
Through our subsidiary Frank Adams Legacy Limited (FALL), we are also the proud owners of Adams Park – which means the stadium is 100% owned by you, the fans. This meets another strategy – “To be a Good Landlord of Adams Park” – and should give us all confidence in the security that Adams Park will remain the home of football in High Wycombe.
Our final strategy is “To Grow our Supporter Base” as increasing attendance at home games will result in more income for the manager and the Club leading to further successes on the pitch. We are working closely with the WWFC Marketing Department on this, and are also using some of our funds to support with fan-facing projects such as the excellent flags that welcome the team to every home match and upgrading the toilets around the ground.
We understand that times are tough economically, so we’re pleased to announce that we’ve frozen our membership fees once again for the 2024/25 season, that’s no increase since 2021. Adult memberships remain just £2.50 per month or £30 per year, senior memberships (over 65) are just £1.75 per month or £21 per year, and under 18s can join for just £1 per year. This membership fee goes directly to fan-facing projects or into a “phoenix fund” to help support the future of football in High Wycombe.
Thank you for your continued support of the Trust and the Chairboys.
Jon
Chair, Wycombe Wanderers Supporters’ Trust
PS Just to reinforce, under 18s can join the Trust for just £1 per year. We need future generations to understand the importance of fans’ voices being heard and are keen to build loyalty from this important group of fans. So, if you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or friends who are under 18 and not yet signed up, please do so – for less than the cost of a third of a cup of coffee!
